STEP BY STEP

Run the workflow.

Work in sequence and keep each intermediate artifact. Review the result at every stage before spending time on the next one.

  1. 01

    Create or choose the source

Start with a drawing, photograph or image you already have. For a live co-drawing process, use Hunyuan Realtime Canvas: draw on the left, guide the result with a prompt and control how strongly the model changes your marks.

    • Export a promising result back to the canvas and draw over it again.
    • Keep the full subject visible and avoid cropped hands, feet or important edges.
  2. 02

    Prepare the image for 3D

Use the image generator with your source as a reference. Ask for a simple 3D or PVC-figure look, a flat studio background, a clear pose and soft light. The goal is not the prettiest picture—it is a readable silhouette with limited clutter.

    • Avoid busy backgrounds, extreme shadows and very fine surface detail.
    • Adjust the pose and camera angle now; they strongly affect the generated mesh.
  3. 03

    Generate the 3D model

Upload the prepared image to Hunyuan 3D Studio and generate the model. Inspect the preview from several angles before downloading. Regenerate if the silhouette, limbs or hidden surfaces are badly resolved.

    • Use browser translation if the interface is not shown in your language.
    • Save the successful source image beside the downloaded model for provenance.
  4. 04

    Clean the mesh

Open the downloaded model in Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D or another 3D package. Merge duplicate vertices, remove loose geometry, repair holes and inspect normals so the mesh becomes watertight.

    • Run a non-manifold check before slicing.
    • Keep a copy of the untouched download before making destructive edits.
  5. 05

    Prepare and test the print

Scale and orient the model, add a stable base if needed, then export to the format your slicer expects. Start with a small draft print to check balance, fragile details and supports before committing to the final size.

    • Thicken delicate parts that fall below your printer’s reliable minimum.
    • Record scale, material, layer height and support settings with the final file.
